Spicy Chicken Burgers made with feta are the most delicious dinner for summer. They're amazing at BBQs and 100% gluten-free.

Ingredients
1lblean ground chicken
1teaspoonground cumin
½teaspoonsalt
½teaspoonblack pepper
1teaspoonpaprika
1teaspoongarlic powder
1tablespoondiced jalapenoseeds removed
Juice of 1 lime
1tablespoonolive oil
2green onionssliced (both the whites and greens)
¼cupfeta cheese
For serving:
4hamburger buns
Chipotle mayonnaiseor sauce of choice
Sliced red onion
Sliced avocado
Lettuce
Sliced tomatoes
Instructions
Make the chicken patty mixture. In a medium mixing bowl, add the ground chicken, and all burger ingredients. Mix well.
Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal sized balls. Gently press with your palms to flatten into about ¾-inch thick chicken patties.
BBQ instructions:
Grill over medium-high heat (around 400 degrees F) for 5-8 minutes per side or until burgers are cooked through and a meat thermometer reads 165F.
Stovetop instructions:
Brush the bottom of a large pan with a thin layer of olive oil (about 2 teaspoons) and set over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, arrange the burgers in the skillet without touching. Cook until browned, about 4 to 5 minutes per side, then flip and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 3 minutes.
Assemble the chicken burgers:
Add chicken patty to a bun and top with chipotle mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, red onion and avocado.
Notes
To increase the spice you may want to add 1 teaspoon of sriracha sauce and 1 tablespoon of additional jalapenos into the chicken mixture.*I have included an estimation of the nutrition information for this recipe below, without the bun or toppings.
